The New Year is off to a big start at The Werks, here are just a few of the projects we have on the go.
Thinking about the ultimate track day car for Area 27 or Vancouver Island Motorsport Circuit? This Porsche Powered Lola B2K/40 could be your car! This is the only B2K/40 powered by a GT1 Porsche 911 Turbo Engine. Specifications include: 500 horsepower, 500 foot-pounds of torque, and weighs in at approximately 1450 pounds. This is a serious ride!
This 1958 Porsche 356 convertible D has a very interesting history in the Okanagan and in the Pacific Northwest. First purchased from Volkswagen Pacific in 1958 by Robert Symonds of Salmon Arm, it was raced at speed events throughout the Okanagan with the Okanagan Auto Sport Club (OASC). In 1960, he won the Westbank Hill Climb,
setting the fastest time of the day. Check out further details here. He then went on to race many events at Westwood, including the 1960 5-hour Enduro, where he and John Hall teamed up. After this, the car was sold to Linda Robinsons, who continued to race it at Westwood and speed events throughout the Lower Mainland with the Royal City Sports Car Club (RCSCC) up until 1969. At that point, the vehicle was put into storage…until now!
Continue to check back to see the progress of these builds and the many others we will have on the go this year!
